The subject of study is soil formation, ecological functions of soils, soil profile, texture, mineral and organic composition, soil characteristics. Bulgarian and FAO soil classification. Basics of Law
This discipline acquaints students with the fundamentals in the theory of law, considered in their functional relationship and logical sequence, like: legal rules, legal subjects, subjective rights and liabilities, law and capacity of physical persons, specificity of legal entities as subjects of law. Key issues in transactions, preconditions for invalidation and legal consequences, proper representation, negative prescription, and basic notions of the administrative law.
Business valuation
The course makes an introduction to the theory and practice of business assessment – main definitions, principles, goals and standards in the assessment activity, organization and information base. It gives sound knowledge on the analytical means and algorithms used in business assessment as well as practical skills for the application of different assessment approaches and methods in case of restructuring, sale of business, merging, takeover, liquidation.

The course offers theoretical / methodological and applied knowledge on the contents and objects of intellectual property and their assessment – essence and scope of intellectual property, economic nature of the objects and specificity in their realization as a basis of business assessment. The information sources, approaches and methods of assessment, selection criteria of model parameters, content of formal and expert procedures are examined.
Investment Management
This discipline sets up a sound system of knowledge on the identification of the investment policy and making investment decisions in the modern enterprise. The accent is put on the assessment of financial instruments, assessment of the efficiency and risk in investment projects, optimization of the investment choice and sources of financing of a contemporary enterprise on the basis of a balance between theoretical knowledge, information on regulations, and problems deriving in practice.
