Cultural Heritage
This subject acquaints students with the historical and cultural values of the architectural and archaeological heritage in the urban environment. The aim of the discipline is to explain correctly the Bulgarian architectural heritage; to elucidate the way of its development through the centuries, its national originality, the favourable influence of the neighbouring countries, the elements of near and remote cultures, woven into its texture; to determine correctly and objectively the most characteristic and valuable architectural monuments, which mark out the development of architecture and culture.
