Lead Lecturer Prof. Dr. Eng. Elena Peneva

Students acquire knowledge on the general potential theory, field theory and gravimetric force potential, as well as the basic height systems and gravimetric reductions and anomalies. Special accent is put on the preparation and realization of relative gravimetric measurements for the needs of geodesy and solving specific problems in the field of geology and geophysics. Issues related to the adjustment of gravimetric networks of different class are considered in detail. Tidal deformations of Earth and their impact on the precise gravimetric and level measurements are studied too. Problems, the solving of which defines the place of the gravitational field in geodesy as a whole, are systematized.
