The construction systems used in Bulgaria are considered as well as the basic tendencies in the reconstruction and modernization of buildings and bridges.
The methods for strengthening the reinforced concrete structures with new elements, concrete and steel are studied.
Special attention is paid to the reconstruction and modernization of prefabricated residential, public and industrial buildings.
The course discusses important realizations of reconstruction and modernization of existing buildings from the Bulgarian and world construction practice.
