The course examines the styles Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Classicism, manifested and spread over the European countries - Italy, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Austria, as well as the belonging of the most prominent architects and their works to these styles. The subject is discussed under problems, which are different for the different styles. Attention is drawn to the social environment, which determines the character of culture and architecture, to the artistic criteria and composition devices, the typology, approach and proportions of the corresponding period. Particular stress is laid upon the relationship between nature and architecture, as well as upon the problems of living environment.
