This subject is related to the sustainable use of the soil resources in agricultural territories. The aim is to extend students knowledge on soil protection and the relationship “soil-plant” necessary for decision making for the optimal land use and soil fertility preservation. Soil degradation processes are studied – technogenic organic and non-organic pollution, salinization, acidification, dehumification, compaction and erosion – as well as methods for their limitation in compliance with the international ecological standards.
