| Objectives:
The principal objective of the project is to develop a Master’s degree programme with the title "Advanced Structural Engineering with European Studies". The project is designed to conform expessly with the top listed priority for the TEMPUS programme in Bulgaria - Restructuring curricula and study programmes for Bachelor and/or Master (1 year study) degree courses in accordance with the new national law regarding Higher education. The Master’s curriculum in Advanced Structural Engineering will prepare future generation of Structural Engineers in Bulgaria to help in the development of the country in the vital areas of infrastructure and built environment, using up-to-date techniques already being taught in the two participating EU university departments, both recognised for excellence of their teaching and research. The proposed programme will assist in preparing engineers who will be involved in taking Bulgarian Civil Engineering Industry into an integrated European Market. This is aimed to be achieved through collaboration with the two universities in EU countries. A general summary of project budget and expenditure (in ECU) is provided. |
