Building Physics
Major: Architecture
In the parts architectural and building aerodynamics, thermotechnics, acoustics and light-techniques the physical phenomena and processes in the course of interaction between buildings and building facilities and the environment, their model investigation, the main physical quantities and objective laws, characterizing them, and the normative requirements are discussed. The approach of relating theory to the specific architectural and engineering applications is used. Emphasis falls on the ...
Building Physics
Major:
The goal of the "Physics" course is to provide the students with knowledge on the fundamental physical phenomena and laws, the relations among them, as well as on the main methods of physical investigation in the building practice. Regarding the specificity of the civil engineering the following important for the professional development of students parts of physics are discussed in details: Waves propagation in elastic media, Acoustics, Building aerodynamics, Mechanics of the fluids, Heat ...
Building Physics - exercises
Major: Architecture
In the coursework in Building Physics students get acquainted with the main regulations on: a/ heat preservation and energy saving in buildings; and b/ noise protection in settlements. Theoretical knowledge is applied in practice for calculation of the necessary thermal insulation of several types of multi-layer cladding structures. The suggested thermal insulation of the respected structure is assessed in order to meet the requirements of noise protection as well. The coursework develop skills ...
Physical Factors Impact Evaluation
The basic physical factors influencing the environment and their effect on the use and assessment of real estates are discussed in this course. The subject of study covers all physical factors: noise, vibration, hazardous radiation (electromagnetic, ionizing, thermal). The description of each factor includes the following: definition; sources and transmission of the effect; impact on the environment; prognosis for the process development; impact assessment according to Bulgarian regulations; ...
