Steel and Timber Structures - Project Assignment

The subject “Steel and Timber Structures” for the degree programme “Water Supply, Sewerage and Water & Wastewater Treatment” is aimed to acquaint students with the main principles of design and execution of bearing structures of steel and timber. The most important types of structural components, connectors and fasteners are examined, as well as the main compositional aspects and structural systems for one-story and multi-story buildings having steel structures. Since each of the two types of structures has specificities, the course is divided into two parts. The first part is dedicated to steel structures, while the second one – to timber structures.
