This discipline is a profiling one. After finishing the course and passing the examination students will be able to solve alone the problems related to the design, dimensioning and construction of passenger and cargo cableways as well as of rope lines. The knowledge obtained through lectures, visual aids, visits to projects, and coursework allows the future civil engineers in transportation engineering to start their career as designers and contractors of this specific type of transportation systems.
