The lecture discipline gives orientation about the broad and not well studied field of influence of the artificial living environment on the psyche and behavior of people and shows the responsibilities of the architect and urban specialist as to the consequences of this daily influence. The cultural roots of form-structuring in architecture and design are being followed in connection with the development of language, psyche and the principles of architectural perception. The correlation between architectural space and money – functional resource metaphors allowing parallel between compositional and financial laws – are examined. Cultural and architectural achievements are compared, caused by traditional and commercial cultural trends during different epochs along the official and folk culture.
