The course considers the concept of landscape architecture and its basic components as well as the principles of design of urban and rural spaces. The following topics are concerned: lighting, colouring of environment and its human impact. The lectures are associated with seminars where urban design tasks are being elaborated. After finishing the course students will have the necessary knowledge and skills for designing joint urban and rural spaces depending on their type, purpose functions and number of visitors.
